This week we are featuring MP Ed Fast, who has introduced Bill C-314, a very important bill designed to protect the most vulnerable in our country, the mentally ill, in regard to MAiD. Please watch the video and read the associated article.
Also, a reminder that we have resumed our weekly Zoom prayer calls. This week we had intercessors from across the country asking and thanking God for His great mercy for our country, it’s leaders, citizens and residents. If you have not joined in the Zoom meetings or it has been a while, please join us and invite some friends. You will be blessed. Our desire is to see Canada covered in a canopy of prayer.

It struck me this week while praying the Aaronic prayer over our government leaders how complete that prayer is.
“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you;the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”
Numbers 6:24-26
It is truly a ‘shalom’ prayer. The English word ‘peace’ is severely insufficient when used to communicate shalom. More than the absence of conflict, shalom can be defined not only as peace but also of harmony, wholeness, completeness, prosperity, welfare and tranquility. The implication of the word is one of unity in our connections with others and a sense of accomplishment and completion in all aspects of our lives. I have heard the definition for Shalom as completeness – nothing missing, nothing broken.
It's no wonder this is the prayer God wanted Aaron and his sons to pray over Israel.
It is consistently the first prayer we pray over Israel. But we can pray it over our government leaders, our church leaders, our friends, our families, our communities, the poor and the marginalized.
“The Lord bless you and Keep you”
Pray for success, expansion and wealth in our nation, in our churches, for our friends and family.
Pray for physical and mental completeness. The video in this newsletter addresses help for the marginalized and vulnerable in our society. Pray for wholeness in their lives, physically, mentally and materially.
Pray that God would continue to be provider and protector and that we would look to Him rather than looking to government or to our own abilities.
“the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you”
Pray that the light of God will illuminate the eyes of your imagination, flooding you with light, until you experience the full revelation of the hope of his calling —that is, the wealth of God’s glorious inheritances that he finds in us, his holy ones! (Eph 1:18). Pray this over our government leaders, our communities, our friends, our families and those struggling around us.
Pray that He would send out His light and His truth and that these would lead our nation to bring us all to His Holy Hill and to His dwelling. (Psalm 43:3)
Pray for His grace on everyone. 1 Timothy 2 tells us to pray for all people. Even those we may disagree with need our prayers. Pray for the good things of the Kingdom to be released in the lives of even those we may not agree with.
“the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace”
Pray that as He turns his face toward us that we will also turn to meet his gaze. Pray for those who don’t know Him, that they would get a glimpse of His beauty. Pray that the veil of unbelief would give way to His splendour. Pray that they would know His kindness, His Holiness, His goodness and the fullness of His glory. Pray that their eyes would be opened wider and that they would experience the astonishing awe of being alive in Jesus.
“One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple.”
Psalm 27:4
