Chaotic Canada-US relationship! Saturday, September 5, 2026

In seasons of uncertainty, it can be easy to lose our peace, but these are the moments when we need to remain anchored in hope, perseverance, and endurance. None of us likes suffering but Romans 5 reminds us that suffering produces endurance, endurance produces character, and character produces hope.

When we go through difficult seasons, it may be uncomfortable, but God can use these seasons to build our character and in turn, this deepens our hope. While spiritual gifts are important, God is more concerned with who we are becoming.

We must continue to bring our prayers and concerns to Him, especially when we walk through challenges, knowing that this desert time is a time in His refiner's fire. As we continue to trust in Him, He will add to our faith, shape our character and prepare us to effectively do His Will.

"Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character and hope," Romans 5:3-4

Weekly Prayer Points

Pray that we would embrace the difficult seasons, knowing that God is at work in us, developing endurance, character and hope.

Thank God for His Refiner's Fire for it purifies our hearts, transforming us to look more like Jesus.

Pray for the church to see the importance of building on our faith and growing in Him so we can effectively disciple nations.

Pray that we would receive the revelation that it is more about our hearts and our character, than about our gifting.

Pray for hearts that remain surrendered to God, allowing Him to refine us and prepare us to faithfully do His will.

Canada-US relationship

Pray that an ‘elbows up’ mentality rooted in fear, anger, or animosity would not become our foundation as Canadians, but that we would respond with courage, wisdom, and a commitment to strengthen our relationships with our neighbours.

Pray that our government leaders would resist division and political animosity, and that they would choose to genuinely work towards solutions for the good of Canadians.

Pray that the church would lead the way in loving and caring for our neighbours.
