Chaotic Canada-US relationship!

Shalom, real peace, is not just quiet or calm or lack of fighting. Right now, with all this trade tension and political back and forth happening between Canada and the US, it's easy to get pulled out of peace as everything feels unstable. Psalm 34 says that if we seek the Lord, He will answer and He will deliver from fear. Those who take refuge in Him lack nothing. We are to seek peace and go after it. But shalom actually means something bigger than just "no conflict." It's about restoration, being made whole, being complete. It's about the fullness of God. And there's one definition that really gets to the heart of it: shalom destroys the authority that binds itself to chaos. So even in a season like this, we are to speak peace over the chaos, the way Jesus said "peace, be still," over the storm. Pray for leaders on both sides to have real wisdom and discernment. Because whatever authority chaos thinks it has, our God gets the final word.

Weekly Prayer Points
Pray for His shalom to rest over Canada and the United States, bringing stability and clarity in the midst of trade tensions. Pray that fear and anxiety would lose their influence in our hearts, and that we would earnestly pray for both sets of leaders as 1 Timothy 2:1-4 mandates.
Pray for wisdom and discernment as they make decisions that affect millions of people of both countries. Pray that conversations and negotiations would be guided by truth and a genuine desire for the good of both nations, rather than by political gain.
Pray for shalom where chaos is trying to take hold.
Pray for communities on both sides of the border who may be affected by economic uncertainty. Pray for restoration.
For Nepal
Pray for Nepal in the aftermath of the earthquake and flooding, especially for those who have lost loved ones, homes, livelihoods, and access to basic necessities. Pray for strength for rescuers responding to the crisis.
Pray for God's mercy and provision over the people of Nepal, particularly families most affected. Pray that aid would reach those in need quickly and that further loss of life would be prevented.
Pray for the church that they would have wisdom to navigate the tragedy and that they would be effective in bringing His love and peace to each situation.
For upcoming Federal and provincial elections
Pray that there wouldn't be apathy among voters and that they would take these by-elections seriously.
Pray that voters would have eyes to see the truth and not be fooled by media biases.
