In the discussion around Charlie Kirk’s assassination, much has been said about his political friendships. But what matters most is this: Charlie Kirk was a brother in Christ, unashamed of the gospel.
Jesus Himself was criticized for being “a friend of tax collectors and sinners” (Luke 7). Yet His mission was to bring hope to the broken. Likewise, believers are called not to embrace the world’s ways, but to love neighbours, even those who disagree.
Kirk valued dialogue, knowing that when communication stops, division and violence follow. His example reminds us that the real battle is not about politics but about faithfulness. The answer is not hostility, but prayer that fuels boldness, clarity, and compassion.
“But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.”
1 Peter 3:15

Weekly Prayer Points
Pray for comfort and strength for Charlie Kirk’s family, friends, and all who are grieving his loss.
Pray that believers would remember what matters most—that our identity and unity in Christ come before politics or opinions.
Pray that Christians would have the courage to speak truth in love, with clarity and compassion.
Pray for humility to love neighbors as ourselves, even those who think or live differently from us.
Pray for discernment, that we would not be friends with the world’s ways, but would walk in the Lord’s paths.
Pray that our prayer lives would fuel our words, so that what we speak brings life, hope, and peace.
Pray that dialogue would not break down in our homes, churches, or nation, but that conversations would be seasoned with grace.
