As we celebrate this Thanksgiving weekend, we want to pause and lift our hearts in gratitude to the Lord — for His goodness, His mercy, and His faithfulness in every season.
This week, instead of our usual video, we’re sharing a list of Thanksgiving Prayer Points - ways we can join together in prayerful gratitude for what God is doing in our lives, our nation, and the nations.
Thankful that He is Holy!
“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come.”
Revelation 4:8
Thankful that He is Worthy!
“You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honour and power, for You created all things.”
Revelation 4:11
Thankful for His Mighty and Awesome Power
“Ah, Sovereign LORD, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for You.”
Jeremiah 32:17
Thankful He is Gracious and Merciful
“The LORD is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love.”
Psalm 145:8
Thankful for His Faithfulness
“Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; He is the faithful God, keeping His covenant of love to a thousand generations.”
Deuteronomy 7:9
Thankful for His Lovingkindness
“Your lovingkindness, O LORD, is better than life; my lips shall praise You.”
Psalm 63:3
Thankful for Family and Friends
We give thanks for the loved ones we’ll gather with this weekend. May our homes be filled with warmth, laughter, and meaningful connection. Let’s also pray for those who may be alone - that they would sense God’s nearness and love.
Thankful for the Church in Canada
We are grateful for our pastors and leaders who serve faithfully and guide their congregations with courage and compassion. Let’s pray that this season would strengthen them - that they would be refreshed in vision, bold in truth, and tender in love.
Thankful for Canada
We thank God for our beautiful nation. Let’s pray that Canada would be a place where righteousness, peace, and truth prevail, and that God’s purposes for our land would be fulfilled.
Thankful for Hope in the Middle East
We give thanks for what appears to be the beginning of movement toward peace in the Middle East, with the proposed 20-point plan. Let us continue to pray for lasting peace in the region - that the Prince of Peace would reign in the hearts of leaders and citizens alike.
Pray for the remaining hostages and their families. The White
House said it expects hostages to be released Monday. Forty-eight hostages remain to be returned, of whom Israel believes 20 are still alive. We pray for their protection, strength, and comfort, and that their release would not be delayed.
"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul."
Psalm 23:1-3
As we reflect on these things, may our hearts overflow with thanksgiving and hope.
Happy Thanksgiving from all of us! May your weekend be blessed and your prayers full of praise.
