The recent federal budget vote reminded us that political decisions can stir a wide range of emotions—from hope to anxiety. Some celebrate outcomes, while others feel disappointment or uncertainty. Yet regardless of political results, there is a bigger perspective that remains constant.

This is a call to pray for our leaders—not because they are perfect, but because they hold positions of authority that affect millions. Prayer for wisdom, discernment, courage, integrity, compassion, unity, and a revelation of God’s love equips leaders to serve faithfully and wisely, even under intense pressure.

While governments rise and fall, parties shift, and policies change, God’s Kingdom remains steady, eternal, and unshaken. Anchored in that truth, we can engage with the world faithfully, act with discernment and courage, and maintain hope and peace, even when circumstances are uncertain or disappointing.

Our ultimate trust is not in politics, but in God—whose plans endure forever.

“He changes times and seasons; He removes kings and sets up kings.”

Daniel 2:21
