While in Israel for the Jerusalem Prayer Breakfast, one of the highlights was visiting the Temple Mount with Rabbi Yehudah Glick as guide. He shared the biblical and historical significance of the site, including the area where Jesus overturned the tables of the money changers. Though prayer was not permitted, hearts were full of worship and intercession. The most powerful moment came while standing on a remnant of Jerusalem’s ancient wall once walked by the city’s watchmen. In that moment, Isaiah 62:6–7 came alive, calling us to faithfully pray for Israel and Jerusalem.
"On your walls, O Jerusalem, I have set watchmen; all the day and all the night they shall never be silent. You who put the Lord in remembrance, take no rest, and give him no rest until he establishes Jerusalem and makes it a praise in the earth."

Hateful noose-hanging effigies on the streets of Montreal
Videos published on social media by Montreal for Palestine show effigies of U.S. President Donald Trump, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir being paraded through Montreal last Sunday during an anti-Israel demonstration. The effigies were depicted hanging from nooses.
We have chosen not to publish photos or videos of the incident, as we do not wish to amplify or give further exposure to this imagery. However, the footage is quite easy to find online.
Police have opened a hate-crime investigation into the incident.
The meaning of this display is clear. We do not believe these noose-hung effigies are political commentary or legitimate protest. We regard it as an act of antisemitism and condemn it in the strongest possible terms. The imagery is deeply troubling, as it brings to mind a long history of persecution and violence against Jews. It encourages hatred and violence, rather than any form of peaceful activism and has no place on the streets of Montreal, or anywhere else in Canada.
Pray for peace as only God can bring. Pray for healing in the communities affected. Pray that God’s love will drive out hatred and bring healing. Pray for the protection and safety of all Jewish communities so that they may find safety, security, and peace of mind.
Weekly Prayer Points
Pray for peace in Israel and Jerusalem, that conflict and fear would give way to lasting security and hope. Pray for all the people groups in Israel to encounter the revelation of the Prince of Peace.
Pray for deeper understanding, respect, and genuine friendship between Christians and Jews, marked by humility, trust, and honour.
Pray that the global Church would stand firmly against antisemitism and never repeat the silence, indifference, or complicity seen during the Holocaust.
Pray for the nations that oppose Israel and those marked by indifference toward her, that hearts would change. Pray for mercy as we remember the words of Joel that nations will be judged by how they treat Israel.
"I will gather all the nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. And I will enter into judgment with them there, on behalf of my people and my heritage Israel, because they have scattered them among the nations and have divided up my land,"
