Now that C-9 has passed, what does this mean for us as Christians? While issues such as MAiD and abortion reveal the spiritual condition of the nation, lasting change does not begin with politics or legislation. It begins with transformed hearts. Jesus commanded us to make disciples of all nations, teaching people to obey everything He commanded. As we faithfully make disciples, we will see Canada transformed.
Rather than simply reacting to legislation, the Church is called to influence culture. Though Bill C-9 has passed, our mission remains unchanged. Our mandate is make disciples. Don't worry about the legislation. Instead, stay focused on making disciples. This is our most powerful tool to influence our nation to truth and righteousness.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you; and behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

NHOP Prayer Meetings
Our regular prayer meetings will pause over the summer months, but we encourage everyone to continue seeking God in prayer individually and with others. We will resume our prayer gatherings on August 18 and 19, and look forward to praying together again.
Weekly Prayer Points
Pray that God would awaken hearts across our nation, that the hearts of Canadians would be softened and opened to the truth of the Gospel and that they would be drawn to repentance and faith in Jesus.
Pray that God would give wisdom, and discernment to leaders and believers no matter the legislation and policies coming from Parliament Hill.
Pray that the Church would rise with courage and love, to faithfully preach the gospel and make disciples.
Pray that Canada would once again be shaped by biblical truth and the character of Christ.
Pray that as Christians we would become active influencers of our culture by living as faithful examples of God’s love and truth.
“You are the salt of the earth… You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden… In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”
