In this video, Brad encourages us to lead quiet and godly lives. Paul speaks highly of this in Scripture. Even during slower, quieter seasons like summer, these days matter deeply. Don’t compare yourself to ministers with big platforms; your faithful life in a smaller sphere is just as valuable. In 1 Timothy 2:1-4, Paul urges us to pray so that we may lead peaceful and quiet lives, godly and dignified in every way. This pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved.

If you feel tired or like not much is happening in your ministry or daily life, remember Paul’s words in 1 Thessalonians 4:11; aspire to live quietly, mind your own affairs, and work diligently so you walk properly before others. Titus reminds us that good works adorn the gospel. So even if your summer feels slow, continue to live faithfully. Your quiet, godly life is a powerful witness.

Jesus said in Matthew 5 that you are the light of the world. Don’t hide your light, let it shine so others see your good works and glorify God. Commit today to live a peaceful, godly, and dignified life. Your faithfulness will impact those around you and honor God.

Live that quiet and godly life.

Weekly Prayer Points

  • Pray for peace and patience during slower or quieter seasons, that we would find value and purpose in these times.

  • Pray for strength and faithfulness to persevere even when our ministries or daily routines feel small or unseen.

  • Pray for those who feel tired or discouraged, that they would be renewed and encouraged by God’s presence and promises.

  • Pray that our good works would adorn the gospel, drawing others to Christ through our faithful lives (Titus 2).

  • Pray that God would help us walk properly before our community, demonstrating integrity and honor in all we do (1 Thessalonians 4:11).

  • Pray that our light would shine boldly, influencing those around us and bringing glory to God.

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven."

Matthew 5:14-16
