On Canada Day, Mark Miller said, "We as Canadians bow our knees for no one." While this reflects a cultural expression of pride in Canada's strength and independence, Christians are called to a different posture.
Jesus taught us to love our neighbour as ourselves, and one of the most powerful ways to do that is on our knees in prayer. Pray for your neighbours, your community, neighbouring nations, and those in positions of leadership. Ask God to give them wisdom, humility, and discernment as they serve.
True strength is not found in pride, but in humble dependence on God. Scripture reminds us that God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. As believers, let's be irresistible to God.
“God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”
James 4:6

NHOP Prayer Meetings
Our regular prayer meetings will pause over the summer months, but we encourage everyone to continue seeking God in prayer individually and with others. We will resume our prayer gatherings on August 18 and 19, and look forward to praying together again.
Weekly Prayer Points
Pray that the Church that we would love Jesus with all of our hearts. Pray that we would seek His face above all else and that our greatest joy would be found in His presence.
Pray that we would be a people who know how to abide in Christ and experience intimacy with Him.
Pray that we would be the hands and feet of Jesus in the world, bringing love, hope and joy to set captives free.
Pray that our ears would be always tuned to His voice and always able to discern His voice.
Pray for courage and obedience, that when He speaks, we would respond in obedience, even when it requires sacrifice or stepping into the unknown.
“And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God."
Philippians 1:9-11
