This week’s featured video brings Chris together with Michael Pierce of Christ for Your City for a timely conversation on kingdom prayer in the political arena. Drawing from 1 Timothy 2 and Jesus’ call to pray for our enemies, they discuss the importance of interceding for all political leaders, regardless of party, choosing blessing over cursing, honour over division, and love over fear. The conversation invites believers to build bridges, seek wisdom, and pray for reconciliation and revival across Canada.

Weekly Prayer Points - This week we will focus on Iran.
Iran has been plunged into one of its gravest periods in years as ordinary people, already crushed by soaring prices, a collapsing currency, and deep poverty, have taken to the streets to demand dignity and basic rights. These protesters are unarmed, yet they are being fired upon with live ammunition, as security forces respond with brutal force instead of dialogue. Women and children have not been spared, with reports of civilians killed, wounded, or dragged away in mass arrests, while internet blackouts attempt to hide the scale of the violence. There have been reports of 12,000 to 30,000 killed, whose only crime was speaking out. As the world watches, Iranians continue to face repression, fear, and loss, even as their calls for justice and freedom grow louder.
Pray for the voiceless and oppressed.
“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves… defend the rights of the poor and needy”
Proverbs 31:8–9
Pray that God would protect those facing violence, imprisonment, and persecution in Iran.
Pray that their dignity and lives would be preserved, and that they would experience His Shalom in their suffering.
Pray for courage and compassion among the global Church
“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ”
Galatians 6:2
Pray that the events in Iran would stir the hearts of the Western Church, disturbing us out of our comfortable silence.
Pray that God would move His people to intercede passionately and consistently, breaking through apathy or distance.
Pray against injustice and violence
“Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow”
Isaiah 1:17
Pray for an end to the brutality, killings, and oppression.
Pray that authorities would be convicted, hearts turned from violence, and systems of injustice dismantled.
Pray for comfort, hope, and perseverance
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit”
Psalm 34:18
Pray for those grieving lost loved ones, those wounded, and those imprisoned.
Pray that God would sustain them with hope, courage, and strength to endure.
Pray for God’s glory and justice to shine
“Let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream!”
Amos 5:24
Pray that the Church worldwide would be a voice of light, advocating for the oppressed.
Pray for the church in Iran, and especially for new believers who face intense persecution following their conversion.
