We’ve seen so many intense and even crazy things happening in the political world and across our culture lately, and it’s easy to get pulled into worry, fear, and endless what ifs. But in moments like this, it’s important to remember what our true assignment is. As it says in First Timothy chapter 2, we are called to pray all kinds of prayers, for everyone. And everyone means everyone. We pray for leaders, neighbours, coworkers, family members. The scripture says this leads to peaceful and godly lives, and that pleases God. But there is more. The heart behind it is that all people would be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. That’s the main thing. This is why we pray. It's for everyone to come to know Him.
And as Romans chapter 10 reminds us, how can people believe if they haven’t heard? And how can they hear unless someone is sent? Being sent isn’t just about going across the world. It’s about being sent across the street, across the office, across the classroom. We are sent to our families, our workplaces, our neighborhoods, and our local churches. Those are our spheres of influence. The secret place is vital in a Christian's life. From here, we must step out in obedience to what we hear the Father saying.
We are ambassadors of reconciliation, carriers of peace, and bringers of good news. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be ashamed. Share the story of what God is doing in your life. Your story has power, and someone in your world needs to hear it.
"How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news.”
Romans 10:15

Weekly Prayer Points
As we watch and pray, we remember the truth of Romans 10: people cannot believe unless they hear, and they cannot hear unless someone is sent. While C-9 is not named in this week's video, it is part of the world we are called to engage. Let this be our posture: faithful prayer, courageous obedience, and bold witness. As decisions are made and conversations unfold around C-9, we commit to stand as Christ’s ambassadors, speaking truth in love, shining His light in the darkness, and keeping the mission of the gospel at the centre of all we do.
Pray for government leaders and helpers to make wise and fair choices and to always do what is right. Pray that Christians can live quiet and peaceful lives, staying true to what they believe and following God with honest hearts.
Pray that God helps leaders make wise choices about C-9. Ask Him to guide them to what is true and right, and to protect our freedom to speak, share our faith, and live out what we believe.
Pray that any effects of C-9 would not silence people from speaking truth with love, and that our leaders would protect freedom of expression and faith.
Pray that the church would lovingly and respectfully reach out to Members of Parliament while C-9 is still in committee, sharing truth with grace and asking God to guide their discussions and decisions.
Pray that we would bring God’s peace into every conversation about C-9, shining light where there is confusion, giving hope where there is fear, and showing love even when opinions are divided.
“Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.”
