Waiting on the Lord is not passive but a daily rhythm of binding our hearts to His, like strands woven into a strong rope. Scripture shows that waiting means trusting, seeking, and aligning with God’s timing, even when it feels silent or slow. As we pause in decisions, practice patience in relationships, leave room for God in prayer, and trust Him in difficulties, His Spirit shapes us and strengthens us. Waiting is abiding—being intertwined with Him—so that our desires shift, our hearts grow stronger, and His strength rises in us.

"But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary;

they shall walk and not faint."

Isaiah 40:31

Weekly Prayer Points

  • Pray that our hearts would be woven together with His, like strands of a strong rope.

  • Pray that we would live waiting as a daily rhythm, not just in times of crisis.

  • Pray that our hearts would hear God’s voice, even in silence, trusting He is at work.

  • Pray for renewed strength, courage, and endurance as we wait on the Lord.

  • Pray for grace to pause and seek God’s will before making decisions.

  • Pray that the fruits of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control would shape our words and actions.

  • Pray that we leave space in prayer for God to speak, not filling every moment with our own words.

  • Pray for the ability to trust His timing in difficult situations instead of trying to control outcomes.

  • Pray that waiting would transform our desires, strengthen our hearts, and align our will with God’s.

  • Pray for encouragement to remember that waiting is not wasted, but the place where God prepares and lifts us up.

“Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!”

Psalm 27:14
