We apologize for the delay in this week’s Prayer Stream. We experienced some technical difficulties.

Chris and Marilyn Byberg just returned from the East Coast, and while they were away, a lot happened in Canada. Sean Feucht’s events were cancelled in several cities, raising concerns about religious freedom. Prime Minister Mark Carney announced plans to recognize Palestine as a state this fall, even though the House of Commons had voted against it in the previous administration. Add to that more wildfires and more heavy-handed government actions, and it leaves you asking, “What’s going on?”

Even so, prayer hasn’t stopped—for families, leaders, wisdom, and Israel. One theme keeps coming up: the fear of the Lord. It’s not just for government; it’s for all of us. It’s about living with awe and reverence for God, choosing to follow Him, and loving Him fully.

When we commit together to love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, it changes how we live. Waiting on the Lord isn’t just about receiving—it’s about giving Him our wholehearted devotion. Half-hearted won’t do—He wants all of us.

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength."

Deuteronomy 6:5

New Ballot Format in Battle River-Crowfoot. Here’s What to Expect

For our friends in the riding of Battle River-Crowfoot: Elections Canada is introducing an adapted ballot for this election due to the unusually large number of candidates (209). If you’re voting at an advance poll or on election day, your ballot will look quite different; it won’t have the usual list of names with circles to mark. Instead, there will be a blank space where you’ll need to write the name of your preferred candidate. You can include their party name alongside their name, but writing only the party name like “Liberal” or “Conservative”won’t count. The good news is, your vote will still be valid even if the spelling isn’t perfect, as long as it’s clear who you meant. You may want to practice the candidate’s name before you vote, just to be safe.

Correction: In our July 19 Prayer Stream - Weekly Prayer Points, we incorrectly implied that Palestine is a nation. It is not a nation or recognized as a state. However, we continue to pray for the people in the land who call themselves Palestinian, asking God to bring them peace, hope, and provision.
