Pitch your own tent!
Saturday, August 8, 2026
God is not inviting us into a distant, surface level relationship or a faith built on someone else’s encounter with Him. He is calling us closer to seek His presence, to know His heart, and to come face to face with the God who is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love. Like Moses, we can choose His presence above every promise and every blessing. As we spend time with the Father, our hearts begin to change to become more like His. We not only begin to think like Him, but we learn to love like Him.
"The LORD, the LORD, a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness."
Exodus 34:6

NHOP Prayer Meetings
Our regular prayer meetings will pause over the summer months, but we encourage everyone to continue seeking God in prayer individually and with others. We will resume our prayer gatherings on August 18 and 19, and look forward to praying together again.
Weekly Prayer Points
Pray that the church would hunger for the presence of God above everything else and desire to know Him more deeply.
Pray that we would experience the Father’s heart and truly believe that He is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love.
Pray that our time with God would transform us from the inside out, shaping our thoughts, our desires, and the way we love others.
Pray that we would not settle for knowing about God from a distance, but would grow in a genuine, face to face relationship with Him.
Pray that the church would become a people who reflect the heart of the Father, growing in love, humility, compassion, and grace as we reveal His character to the world.
"Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience,"
Colossians 3:12
Continue to pray for:
Pray regarding the wildfires occurring across Canada in multiple regions, heavily affecting parts of BC, northwestern Ontario and the Northwest Territories. Pray for rain, for grace and endurance for emergency personnel, and for people who have been displaced or are at risk of displacement.
Pray for peace in the Middle East, specifically in Iran and Israel. Pray for the church in these places to have boldness and open doors to preach the gospel (Acts 4:29-31; Col. 4:3-4).
Pray for our elected officials this summer. Pray for Christians in every riding to engage with - and bless - their members of parliament while they are at home. Pray that MP’s with families will have rich quality time with their families that strengthen their bonds over the summer.
Continue to pray for Canada’s relationships with allies, including the US and Israel.
In light of the shootings and vandalism of the Jewish bakeries in Toronto and the arson of a Montreal restaurant, continue to pray for Jewish communities in Canada in the face of rising antisemitism.
