While in Montreal during the Liberal Party of Canada convention, Mark Carney stated, “hope is not a plan.”
This is not a political issue, but a spiritual one. Our hope is not rooted in government or in human leaders. True hope is found in the Lord Jesus Christ. As we said last week, some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord. That hope is grounded in the gospel and the transforming power of Jesus.
Hope is not passive or wishful thinking. It is active and expectant, aligned with the purposes of God. When voices say there is no hope, that leads to despair, but God is the source of hope.
When we hope in the Lord, we do not give up. This hope is unshakable and enduring.
"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."

Pray for our Senators as they continue to debate Bill C-9. Here are some major speeches you can read - April 14th, April 16th.
Pray that we would rediscover real hope in Jesus, not in governments, leaders, or changing circumstances, but in the One who never changes.
Pray that the church in Canada would present hope as a real plan and a God-given strategy for how His purposes move forward.
Pray that we would be hope dispensers in every place influenced by fear and darkness. Pray for the power of the Gospel to bring transformation to set captives free.
Pray for our Prime Minister and leaders in our nation to receive wisdom and revelation to know God and to recognize His hope as the true foundation for every strategy concerning Canada.
“I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you…”
