We have found, throughout the years, that the Christmas season is an easy time to share the love of God.
Over the past months we have been praying not only for Government but also for an awakening in the church that would lead to revival. So the question I have been asking myself is "What does revival look like in my neighbourhood and what will it take for it to break out?" What kind of strategy will be required in prayer and what actions are to take place? We need to pray and ask God to give us strategy for this season.
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon us to preach good news to the poor and this includes our neighbours. We are called to love them as ourselves thus fulfilling the law of God.
As was said before, Christmas time is a great opportunity to share the good news because parts of our society will give room for His love in this season. It's the only time of year when we can declare words like this, "No more let sin and sorrow grow, nor thorns infest the ground. He comes to make His blessings flow, far as the curse is found." We have a license to do this in the season so take full advantage of it.

Today the house is sitting for the first time since the election. It is so important that we as the Church prayer for our government leaders. We also encourage you to reach out to your member. Let them know you are praying for them.
Pray that they would come to a place of reliance on God for wisdom.
Pray that they would receive all righteous counsel.
Pray that they would learn the importance of prayer as a source of good judgement and courage.
Pray that they would be reminded daily that they are under obligation to the Canadian people and honour-bound for the decisions that they make.
The following verse in one of three that are etched in stone in the Peace Tower.
"He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the River unto the ends of the earth."

Be Salt and Light
On Monday November 22nd, the 44th Parliament will sit for the first time. This current minority government have said they plan on reintroducing C6. They also say that they will penalize crisis pregnancy organizations by taking away their charity status. We must be in prayer for our leaders on a continuous basis. We must come from a posture of honour bringing with us the love of the Father. Propose instead of oppose. Stand firm but have a right attitude.
“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."
Matthew 5:13-16
Pray for God to open doors as we engage with our members.
Pray that He will give us marching orders as we pray for our leaders.
Earnestly pray for the salvation of your members.
Pray that the church would engage with government leaders in such a way that we would bring influence.

Pray the Word - Outrageous Faith
Happy Thanksgiving! We pray that the body of Christ would have outrageous faith to believe that the heart of God is for all men and women to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
"First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Saviour, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth."

Come up Here!
Let's keep our attention on the Lord and not on our circumstances!
After this I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven! And the first voice, which I had heard speaking to me like a trumpet, said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.”

Michael Kovrig and Michael Spavor have finally landed in Canada!
We rejoice with their families and friends that both of these man are now home. They were accused of spying and imprisoned by the Chinese government for 1019 days.
Pray for their physical and emotional healing
Pray Psalm 23 over them and their families.
"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever."
