The National House of Prayer was established in 2005 and since been committed to praying for the Government of Canada. Our heart is to establish an ongoing positive Christian presence in Canada as we seek to fulfill

"I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth".

Because we believe in “informed intercession” we research and stay up-to-date with the current issues facing our leaders, and then provide this insight to thousands of intercessors through our regular email newsletters. Networking with the many prayer movements in Canada is one of our greatest joys as we see coordinated prayer being released through city-wide prayer movements, new Provincial Houses of Prayer, and emerging leaders.

WHY OTTAWA

Ottawa is Canada’s capital city. Every decision made in Ottawa affects every region of the country. Ottawa is the spiritual gateway to the rest of the nation. What comes through a gate has influence over what the gate was designed to guard.

CANOPY OF PRAYER SCHOOL

Canopy of Prayer has been brewing at NHOP for quite some time now. More than just an Ottawa centered ministry, the vision has always been to see the heart of the Nation turn to God. Having boots on the ground at Parliament Hill is very necessary and essential.

STRATEGIC PRAYER FOR CANADA

We seek to help build a bridge between our government leaders and caring Christians from across Canada. Our hope is that through these meaningful relationships, God would influence these leaders with a perspective of righteousness that would bless them as they serve our nation.
