As we begin a new year with school and church programs resuming, we encourage you to stir up the gifts within you. The Greek word for "stir up" refers to fanning a flame, much like with bellows. Each of us has received spiritual gifts that equip us for effective ministry. We fan these gifts into flame by putting them into action. By staying focused on our first love, we keep the fire of our faith burning brightly, allowing Him to thrive in us like a vibrant, living flame.

The House of Commons will resume on September 16.
Jagmeet Singh has announced that the NDP is ending its governance agreement with the Liberals.
If Mr. Singh follows through on his announcement by siding with the Conservatives in a confidence vote when the House reconvenes, it could trigger an election. At this stage, it's still speculative. However, there are constituencies where the nomination process remains incomplete.
Pray for the emerging leaders who are striving to represent their party as candidates. Pray that those with integrity, who uphold truth and righteousness, be the ones to win these positions.
Pray that they would be surrounded by those with Godly influence.
Pray that they would not succumb to selfish ambition or fear of man.
Continue to pray for your member of Parliament that they would have wisdom and revelation. If they know the Lord, pray that they would grow in the hope of this calling. Pray salvation over those who don't yet know Him as Saviour.
