Prayer Stream — Mar 08, 2025

Saturday, March 8, 2025

Chris often says, "Every day is the National Day of Prayer," but there's more to it. As he says in the video, he expresses his love for Marilyn every day—actually, several times a day. She is the love of his life, and after 43 years of marriage, he cherishes the life they share. Saying "I love you" daily is a given, but there’s more. Special days like anniversaries, birthdays, and Valentine's Day call for something beyond the everyday expression of love. On these occasions, they spend more quality, romantic time together—intensifying their connection. Similarly, a corporate National Day of Prayer is essential, as there is a unique synergy when people come together to pray. These special times allow for deeper, more intense moments of unity with the Father. We invite you to come to Ottawa on July 12th to be a part of the making of this legacy for future generations. National Day of Prayer is an initiative of The Cry Movement.

Apostolic Prayer

"May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ."

Romans 15:5-6

Prayer Points

Liberal Leadership Race

The Liberal Party's leadership race will conclude on March 9, with a new leader chosen who will become Canada's new Prime Minister.

  • Pray that the new Prime Minister will be filled with wisdom, discernment, and clarity in making important decisions for the country. Pray that he/she will lead with integrity, prioritize the well-being of all Canadians, and serve with humility and justice.

  • Pray that the new Prime Minister would meet the challenges ahead with strength, courage, and wisdom, fostering prosperity and unity across the nation.

Justin Trudeau

  • Pray for Justin Trudeau, that he would experience peace and clarity during this transition. Pray that God would guide him in his next steps, providing wisdom and direction for the future.

  • Pray that Prime Minister Trudeau will bring positive influence to Canada even after leaving office and that he would be committed to Canada's growth and the prosperity of her citizens, using his platform to contribute to the nation’s well-being.

  • Pray that the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation would overwhelm Mr. Trudeau, drawing him closer to God and helping him to know Him more deeply. Pray that he would learn to trust God for guidance, wisdom, and direction in all his future endeavours.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."

Proverbs 3:5-6

Tariffs

  • Pray that our leaders will become true bridge-builders, fostering peace and mutual understanding. Pray that the Lord would help them to approach discussions with the United States—and specifically with President Trump and his administration—not as opponents, but as partners working together for the common good of both countries.

  • Pray for creative solutions that benefit both nations, protecting the vulnerable and strengthening the future, and to do so without arrogance or self-interest.

  • Pray that our leaders would have the humility to really listen—taking the time to understand the deeper concerns on both sides. Pray that God would give them the courage to speak truth clearly and respectfully, without fear, and with wisdom that brings people together instead of driving them apart.

  • Pray that our leaders would carry themselves in a way that shows real honour—without backing down from what’s right. Pray that God would use both their words and actions to open up new paths of cooperation, even in places where it feels like division is the only option.

“Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.”James 3:18
