Last week, Chris made a striking statement: the greatest threat to Canada is not political instability, economic downturns, or external forces—it is a prayerless Church! His words should cause us to pause and reflect. Why is the Church struggling to pray? Is this an irreversible condition, or can it be changed?
This is not a systemic failure beyond repair. Prayerlessness is not an incurable disease; it is a symptom of something deeper, something broken that must be addressed. So, what are the underlying causes? What mechanisms have failed that have led us to this place of spiritual apathy?
At the heart of our prayerlessness is one fundamental issue: we have abandoned our first love. We have allowed other things—distractions, busyness, comfort, and even good works—to take priority over intimacy with Christ.
If we are to fix this, we must return to our first love. We must rekindle our passion for Jesus, remembering why we fell in love with Him in the first place. A praying Church is not built on programs or strategies but on hearts that burn with love for God. The path forward is clear: repent, return, and reignite our devotion to Him. Only then will the Church rise in prayer and power, becoming the force of transformation that Canada desperately needs.
Remember, every day is the national day of prayer!
"I know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate wicked people, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false. Prayer Points
Fentanyl Crisis
According to the Public Health Agency of Canada, over 49,000 people have died from opioid use since 2016. In the first half of 2024, 79% of accidental opioid deaths involved fentanyl—a 39% increase since 2016.
Pray for Kevin Brosseau, Canada’s new Fentanyl Czar. Pray that God would grant him wisdom for just and effective decisions, strength to stand against the crisis and its causes, and a compassionate heart for those affected. Pray that he receives clear vision for real solutions and is surrounded by wise advisors.
Pray for God to expose hidden fentanyl networks, guide law enforcement to dismantle illegal labs, and reveal foreign ties to cartels and production.
Pray for the Church to repent for its silence and inaction against the culture of death in Canada. Pray that we would no longer be prayerless, but heed the call to intercede, seeking God's healing and restoration for our nation.
Pray that the Church would be an Isaiah 61 people, bringing healing to the brokenhearted and freedom to those captive in addiction, especially amidst the fentanyl crisis. Pray for local churches to offer His love, wisdom, and support to those in need.
Pray for ministries serving the vulnerable. Pray for more workers and resources to bring healing and hope to the broken and captive.
Ontario Provincial Election
Pray for wisdom for the voters, clarity for the candidates, and integrity in the election process. Pray that leaders who are chosen will serve the people with justice and compassion.
Upcoming Federal Election: New PM May Call Immediate Vote
Pray for God to raise up leaders who are pro-family, pro-freedom, and who prioritize Canada over politics. As many candidacy decisions are finalized this weekend, pray for righteous candidates seeking nomination.
Trump Warns ‘All Hell Will Break Loose’ If Hostages Aren’t Freed by Saturday
Pray for God’s divine intervention in the release of the remaining hostages.
Pray for their safe return home.
Pray for Shalom (שָׁלוֹם) over them and their families.
Declare the meaning of the four Hebrew letters in Shalom
Pray for the destruction of everything that binds them to chaos.
Pray for wholeness, completeness, and divine restoration for the hostages and their families.
