Prayer Stream — Feb 01, 2025

Saturday, February 1, 2025

Trump’s tariffs will likely impact Canada’s economy, causing concern for many. What do tariffs have to do with the Kingdom? They are an opportunity to bring hope and the love of God into people's lives. We are called to follow Jesus’ example—doing only what we see the Father doing and speaking only what He is saying. In the spheres of influence He has entrusted to us—our families, workplaces, churches, and neighborhoods—we must have the courage to act in obedience. This requires constant listening, which is the essence of unceasing prayer. Our ministry is to bring hope to an anxious world, beginning with those whom God has placed in our lives.

Remember, every day is the national day of prayer!

Apostolic Prayer

"And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should."

Ephesians 6:18-20

Prayer Points

Pray for Freedom

For the Church

  • Pray that the Church in Canada will walk in the freedom Christ has given.

  • Pray that the church would be filled with His unwavering hope, trusting in His promises and faithfulness.

  • Pray that the church may abound in hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.

  • Pray that our hope in Jesus would be a light to those in darkness, bringing freedom to those in our spheres.

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."

Romans 15:13

For National Outreach and Revival

  • Pray that churches across Canada would rise up with a renewed passion for evangelism, reaching every community with the gospel.

  • Pray for unity among churches, ministries, and believers across denominations to join together free to be distributors of His hope and love.

  • Thank the Lord, for the freedom we have in Canada to gather openly and lift our nation in prayer. Pray for an increase in boldness and courage among the church to step out in faith, organizing and participating in more prayer gatherings across the country.

"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."

2 Chronicles 7:14

For our borders

  • Pray for both Canadian and American leaders that they would negotiate policies in bold humility to serve the best interests of both nations.

  • Pray for Canadians to walk in confidence, valuing our heritage and freedoms while extending kindness, cooperation, and mutual respect.

"In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross!"

Philippians 2:5-8

For the Israel hostages returning home

  • Pray that they would experience freedom in their emotions and souls, as they have endured immense suffering and trauma over the past 15 months.

  • Pray that they would cry out to the Lord, and that He would calm the storm within their souls, bringing peace and healing.

"Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and he brought them out of their distress. He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed. They were glad when it grew calm, and he guided them to their desired haven."

Psalm 107:28-30
