Prayer Points
We may be into an election sooner rather than later.
The House of Commons adjourned on December 17th and will not resume until January 27, 2025, when a non-confidence motion could trigger an election. Mr. Singh has said he will vote against the Liberals if such a motion is brought. The Honourable Pierre Poilievre has written to Governor General Mary Simon, urging her to inform the Prime Minister he has lost the House's confidence and to either dissolve Parliament or ask the Speaker to recall the House before the year's end. Poilievre has also asked Singh to send a similar letter.
Pray for our Federal Government as they work through the issues they face with the resignation of Cabinet Ministers.
Pray that the church would stand strong against the temptations of accusation and criticism, and instead become a people who earnestly pray for our government and leaders.
Pray for God's sovereignty over the hearts and minds of our leaders, including Prime Minister Trudeau, the Honourable Pierre Poilievre, NDP leader Mr. Singh, and Governor General Mary Simon, as they make decisions that affect our nation. Pray that God would guide them according to His will.
