A visit to the Temple Mount and Jerusalem’s ancient wall brings Isaiah 62 to life, stirring fresh worship and a renewed call to stand as watchmen in faithful intercession for Israel and Jerusalem.

Hi, Chris and I are in Israel for the Jerusalem Prayer Breakfast. And one of the highlights for me was a visit to the Temple Mount. Our host, Rabbi Yehuda Glick, he took us and he pointed out some some historical places, some biblical places. He showed us the area where where Jesus turned over the money changers' tables. He told us um one one one of the things that I learned was that the the golden dome that's there now, it sits directly on where the Temple Mount was. Now, we couldn't go in cuz only Muslims can go inside. Um but from the outside, we were able to look in and we saw the chandelier and what Rabbi Glick told us was that that chandelier was sitting right above where

the Holy of Holies would have been. We were not allowed to pray or show any kind of prayerful um exuberance, but our hearts were full of worship and full of prayer. The most moving moment for me was when Rabbi Glick Glick, he pointed out the remnant of the wall in where the where the watchmen used to walk. And that was very emotional for me. This is where watchmen used to walk and at night they would they would walk and they would they would guard. They would watch for the enemy. They would watch for visitors. They would watch for danger while everyone slept. Isaiah 62 says, "On your walls, O Jerusalem, I have set watchmen all the day and all the night. They shall never

be silent. You who put the Lord in remembrance, take no rest and give him no rest until he establishes Jerusalem and makes it a praise on the earth." Standing on that ancient wall made the The of scripture come alive to me, in a way I had not expected. What I had read in the book of Isaiah felt immediate. As a watchman, I am to pray faithfully for Israel and Jerusalem. In that moment, I felt both the burden and the privilege of intercession. The stones beneath me testified of generations of covenant, endurance, and faithfulness. I was overwhelmed by the realization that God's purposes continue through me. And he calls me to stand watch and pray. The wall felt felt ancient, but the

calling feels alive. I'm Marilyn Viber with the National House of Prayer. We'll see you next time.
