hi everybody it's chris byrd the director of the national house of prayer in ottawa so um we're setting out this urgent prayer bulletin in conjunction with some other prayer ministries in the city namely pray ottawa some other intercessory prayer groups as you know the freedom convoy 2022 is coming to ottawa um that's not a surprise it's in the news in a lot of places and on social media and they're expecting a significant event so says the the ottawa police actually they say it's a very significant event and which is really really good to hear considering yesterday when we looked at the cities what the city thought was going to be here they actually thought there would

be about 2 000 people on the hill i don't know where they were getting their information from but they're anticipating a very significant event here in ottawa so we need you to pray we need you to pray um predominantly for safety you know we are hearing reports there could be as many as a hundred and fifty 000 trucks and believe me if you've never been to ottawa it's not that big really in in the downtown core around parliament hill it's not a very very big space it's pretty big but it's not big and on a regular day it is a challenge without any protests it is a challenge to get parking and things like that and so to have an event this significant it is going to be very diff uh very

cumbersome let's put it that way uh we are we appreciate peaceful protests and we know the nature of this protest that it is there to be peaceful but we want to pray for safety we want to pray for for the folks that are going down there we want to pray for infrastructure you know as they plan as the police services and the city services are aware there will be a large police presence they said that there will be they um we want to pray for city workers that are they're trying to navigate help navigate all this high volume of wheels vehicles and uh and people even in terms of i said to somebody you know 150 000 people and i actually know of two two washrooms

that are available to the public on on parliament hill and uh so even something as simple as that but especially for the christians we know that a lot of christians are engaging in this and that we and at this time would be salt and light that we would be buffer zones between um different sides uh because they are anticipating um counter demonstrations they are the police have said that they are watching for unlawful and violent activities and so we want to pray against those kinds of things at all that every scheme of the enemy would be exposed and actually for as far as roadblocks are concerned we don't want to see roadblocks but we do want to see roadblocks to any plan of the enemy

so pray into that um pray that people are safe pray that cooler heads would prevail and pray that there wouldn't be a provoking of one another but there that that each side would be respectable and i'm so grateful that many christians are going to be there that they will be buffer zones for that that they will come i know that a lot of the church leadership in ottawa are are coming down there and coming down to plan to to minister and i've heard of a bit of of our prayer partners and prayer warriors here in the city coming down with bags and bags of lunch to help feed people and care for people you know what we're grateful here we were able to help um some people get

bulleted as they came in as well so so keep in prayer prayer pray for the prime minister that he has ears to hear and the cabinet that his heart isn't hardened but that he will have a soft heart to hear what is being so told and what is being spoken for the cabinet and for all of government for both all the caucuses that they would hear this laura and so let's pray right now father thank you for your goodness your mercy lord i thank you for this city that i uh i love and i'm so grateful that i'm in lord we we're thankful that we are about to take center stage and i pray that this peaceful demonstration would remain peaceful lord but that your plans and purposes would break forth
