Update - September 1, 2021
Foreign Affairs Minister Marc Garneau confirmed Tuesday that about 1,250 Canadian citizens, permanent residents and their family members were left behind in Afghanistan.
While it may seem like a desolate position in Afghanistan, as Christians, our confidence is in our God. Jesus came to set us free. He is our redeemer; our hope in time of need.
Pray that rescue operations will continue and more people will escape to safety.
Pray for dreams and visions showing clear paths to escape.
Pray for provision of food and water.
Pray for these families who are now without home or nation. Pray that the Body of Christ would step up to the plate to bring the love of Jesus in practical ways.
Continue to pray for miraculous protection for women and children being forcibly taken and those that have already been taken for their protection, salvation, and deliverance.
Pray that the Afghan Church would not lose hope. Pray for unprecedented revival and growth in the midst of persecution.
Pray that many in the Taliban and other Muslims would find Jesus.

Update - August 28, 2021
Christian aid organizations, like Samaritan's Purse have indicated that they will continue to work to get Afghans to safety even after the airlifts have ended.
Pray for the safety of all who are putting themselves in harms way to help those in need.
Pray that rescue operations will continue and more people will escape to safety.

Update - August 26, 2021
"Canada's effort to airlift those fleeing Taliban rule out of Afghanistan has come to an end, says the acting chief of the defence staff.
A notice sent out this morning from the Immigration Department says that evacuation operations are done and "at this time, no further evacuation flights are being planned."

As many believers in Afghanistan must keep their faith secret from the Taliban, pray that they would be able to find each other so they can encourage one another.
Pray that the US administration would extend the August 31st deadline to pull its troops out of the country.

Update - August 20, 2021
Pray for wisdom for political leaders as they relate to the new administration in Afghanistan.
Pray for God to suppress the brutality. They are fully reliant on Him, as He is the only One who can and will protect them.
Pray that those who are trying to get to help would remain hidden supernaturally as they travel along the same routes where their oppressors are searching.
Pray that the Church in Afghanistan would have courage and perseverance. Pray that they would experience revival in spite of the persecution they endure.

- Pray for REVIVAL! Pray that the underground church would continue to GROW and EXPAND in these days! Pray for a fresh wave of REVIVAL to spread like a wildfire across the Middle East!
- Pray that God would be GLORIFIED! He is the ruler of heaven and earth. He is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. No power or evil on earth can match His might. Pray that He would be glorified WHILE THE WORLD WATCHES!
