The Kingdom moves at the speed of relationships
We are in the final days before Election Day, and now is the time to stay focused and finish strong. Keep praying for candidates across the country—especially those who are believers. Whether they’re elected or not, they remain candidates of record and still need our support. If you haven’t already, volunteer. Offer to help with phone calls, drive people to the polls, or ask a local candidate how you can serve. Build relationships with those running for office—this is how the Kingdom of God advances. As our friend,Barry Maracle says, “The Kingdom of God moves at the speed of relationship.” At National House of Prayer, we don’t wait for a crisis—we prepare through prayer. Let’s press in, stand on the wall, and finish well.
Pray Beyond Election Day: Building Kingdom Relationships in Politics
By Chris Byberg | Director, National House of Prayer
Almost There—But the Mission Continues
Speaking from Ottawa on the Saturday before election day, Chris Byberg offers a heartfelt thank-you to all who have been praying, volunteering, and engaging during the 2025 election season. With hundreds joining national prayer calls and many showing up in local gatherings, he celebrates the faithfulness of the Canadian Church during this critical time.
But Chris emphasizes a powerful truth: prayer doesn’t end after the ballots are counted. As believers, we are called to be watchmen on the wall—always looking ahead, praying proactively, and engaging beyond the crisis moments.
Encouraging the Candidates—Win or Lose
One of the great joys during this season, Chris shares, has been connecting with Christian candidates across Canada. Whether from Quebec, Ontario, or elsewhere, it’s been inspiring to pray with and encourage believers running for public office.
And here’s the key: even if a candidate doesn’t win, they remain a “candidate of record”, and they still need encouragement and prayer. The mission to build relationship and bring Kingdom influence continues.
“We pray on election day—and we keep praying the day after.”
Why Volunteering Matters (Even Now!)
Chris makes a strong appeal: if you haven’t yet volunteered to help a righteous candidate, now’s the time.
-
Drive voters to the polls.
-
Make calls to help get out the vote.
-
Support candidates who align with biblical values.
He reminds us of the biblical principle:
“Your people will volunteer freely in the day of Your power.” — Psalm 110:3
And why does this matter? Because, as Chris’s friend Baron Miracle says:
“The Kingdom of God moves at the speed of relationship.”
Volunteering isn’t just about politics. It’s about building relationships that allow the light of Christ to shine into every level of government.
Final Word: Engage with the Heart of the Kingdom
As this election winds down, Chris leaves us with a reminder: political engagement isn’t just about winning or losing. It’s about sowing seeds of prayer, relationship, and Kingdom presence—wherever God places us.
“Get involved. Build relationships. Bring the Kingdom of God.”
