hi everybody it's Chris Byberg the director of the national house of prayer broadcasting from ottawa um so i'm finally feeling better i had coveted about two weeks ago and i'm finally back to my normal self and i'm so grateful to be back because it was a bit of a long slug but anyway i feel good and i'm really happy to to be sharing with you today so a lot has happened in the past couple of weeks you know we went from the freedom convoy here on wellington street in ottawa to a full-blown invasion from russia on the ukraine so there's a lot of things happening in the world but i want to encourage you to to stay on the wall to stay engaged both here in our nation

and globally there are a lot of things happening globally we look at afghanistan still and uh that fiasco would played out in the in the fall and there are other parts of the world ethiopia and yemen there's a lot of great great uh travesties that are happening so we still need to engage in prayer for that and i want to encourage you to do that i was listening to um i was listening to somebody the other day and they said something that really intrigued me that uh pricked my heart in fact let me just read this they see this person said many times christians pray enough to ease our conscience but not enough to make a difference i mean that really really pricked my heart i said lord does that

mean i'm just praying enough to ease to get my prayer thing in for the day but am i actually praying enough and engaging enough to make a difference and i want to encourage you to to for those of you that are may fall into that we have busy lives but we we pray we have lists and we have petitions and we go through our our lists and positions and we we just rush through but actually without actually listening to god and praying what's in his heart and staying on the assignments that he has given us you know freedom convoy happened there was a lot of amazing things that happened in the spirit over the nation that um that we were praying into but now all of

a sudden it's like the media has turned the page and we're off to another major crisis i want to encourage you to stick with the assignments that god has given you to stick with those things and pray them through until they come to completion that's our job not just to rattle through lists but to pray till things come through completion it could take a while it could take more than a week it could take longer than a news cycle so i want to encourage you to continue to engage with those words that the lord has given you excuse me now the words of the lord has given you to use those words until those prayers are come into fruition okay everybody thank you for listening

today i'm really grateful that i'm feeling better but there are a lot of things that are going on in the nation and in the nations and we are required to stay engaged thank you everybody let me just pray before we go father thank you for your goodness your mercy for your loving kindness and lord that you are concerned about everything that goes on in this world that you are not too far far away and that your arm is not too short so father i pray for the church in canada that we would continue lord to be those watchmen on the walls that we will stay and be faithful to complete the tasks and assignments that you have left us in jesus name amen thank you everybody i'm Chris Byberg the

director of the national house of prayer we'll see you next time bye for now
