hi everybody it's Chris fyberg the director of the national House of Prayer coming to you today from Ottawa we've had a great week this week we just got back from a prayer Summit that was uh put on by prey Ottawa and one of our favorite teams to work with here in Ottawa it was a wonderful time I think there were about 60 pastors and leaders there and we had a great time seeking the the voice of the Lord the will of the Lord it was just a really wonderful time of refreshing I had a great time to pray for our region you know we are still in week two now of the emergencies act inquiry if you've been following Along on CPAC it's really quite interesting I personally I turned my PVR

on and I recorded because I can't watch it all the time and I look at it later on when I have some free time it's really great it's been very interesting and I found that it's been really easy for me to become frustrated during the testimonies you may find that happening to you I find that it is really easy for me to start to point the finger and I really think that this is a great opportunity for us as the people to God of God to be praying into this but be aware that we are not to be pointing the finger I want to read you something from one of my favorite chapters and one of my favorite passages out of Isaiah 58 and and I think this will really help us

in this season because it's so easy for both sides I don't know what side you're on I'm not going to tell you what side I'm on um but you know we've heard so many things especially from pastors and leaders that churches have been very very divided in this time and congregations have uh you know even through the whole Convoy whether you were forward or against it there was a lot of stress in the body of Christ I want to uh just encourage you with this word from Isaiah here it is Isaiah 58. if you will do away with the Yoke of Oppression with the pointing of the finger and malicious talk and if you spend yourself on behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed

then your light will rise in the Darkness and your night will become like noon day the Lord will guide you always and he will satisfy your needs in a sun scorched land and will strengthen your frame you will be like a well-watered garden and we'll stop there you'll be like a well-watered garden I want us I want to encourage us all across the land that in those areas where relationships have broken down because of covid because of mandates because of whatever our our opinions are on on the Convoy Marilyn and I were down on the Convoy we were there we got to pray with many many people it was an awesome opportunity to pray we were praying for peace in our land and peace in our city

and there was an abundance of Peace there but I just want to encourage you that in this season pulled away the point pointing finger even at the government and I want to and I because James tells us this that Mercy triumphs over judgment and yes there should be Justice yes and that stuff will come on but it's important that we the people of God we watch our tongues we build up we don't tear down and we pray for God's mercy because Mercy triumphs over judgment so put away the pointing finger and spend ourselves on behalf of the oppressed and the hungry I'm Chris fiberg the director of the national House of Prayer we'll see you next time bye for now
