hi everybody it's Chris Byberg the director of the national house of prayer from ottawa well it's holy week and here we are entering the the holiest day holiest week in our christian calendar we've been seeing a lot of anticipation for many it'll be the first easter in two years that we're able to meet without masks and restrictions and so there's a lot of anticipation for for this coming good friday and for sunday um so i'm excited and then there's a there's a there's a sense in the air that god is about to do something marvelous here there are so many hungry people who are just coming i hear of people choosing jesus on a daily basis we hearing we're hearing this from all across the nation

so i just want to encourage you and i want to encourage you out of john 5 19 today we just read this because we as the sons and the daughters of god that we've been called to be sons we've been called to be heirs and joint heirs with christ i just want to give you a certain posture as we come into this this weekend of anticipation of what god is doing so let me read from john 5 verse 19 and jesus gave them this answer i tell you the truth the son can do nothing by himself he can only he can do only what he sees his father doing because whatever the father does the son also does for the father loves the son and shows him all he does isn't that good and i want to posture

you in this season that in our prayer life are we watching what our father is doing what is he doing and early later in the part of the week um last week i felt holy spirit i felt the lord speak to me in this particular area and i felt him say chris ask me what i'm doing in your writing the reason why i say writing is because our canopy prayer is based on writings we're building 338 teams across the nation in our canopy of prayer right now we have about 350 signed up for that just a little commercial if you want to be a part of that go on to our website nhop.ca sign up for canopy of prayer but what is yes i felt the lord what is he doing in our riding what is he doing right now

and i thought that was a really great um question so i asked him lord what are you doing in this writing what are you doing in this this area this geographic location that you've given us and i want to encourage you to ask that question for you god what are you doing and then come alongside and partner with him in prayer to that the next area i felt him ask what am i doing in your spheres of influence we all have different spheres some of us have spheres of influence at work some of us belong to service clubs some of us are belong to to a quilting bee that might be your your sphere of influence of course we have spheres in our families spheres in our neighborhoods like my sphere of

influence in my neighborhood i have a sphere of about four or five neighbors that i i speak to and there's that's a sphere of influence so i am at it so i felt holy spirit saying what am i doing in that sphere and if we're not watching we don't know if we're not paying attention we don't know and we are unaware of what god is doing in our spheres and you need to be aware that he is working he's always working but if we're not partnering with partnering with him we're missing out the next sphere is what is god doing in your family what is he doing right now in your immediate family are you aware of what he's doing the best thing about this is when we see god moving in our family it

builds faith we can say yes we overcome by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony and so when we see god working in our families we have things to stand on we have a foundation to stand on that god is indeed at work in my our families and this is what it doing what he's doing and it builds faith and the final one the final one is what is god doing in my local church so god what are you doing in our local church coming into easter as we prepare for many visitors i'm sure you're going to see many visitors many people show up for church at christmas in easter time and this season i really really believe there is a yes in the in the hearts of men and women

out there as i've been out in the prairies and speaking with many people i really have a sense that the harvest is ready the harvest is ripe so this is the time for us to press in and i want to encourage you to press in to partner with our heavenly father in the things with the things that he's doing in our nation or in our writings in our families in our spheres of influence and in our local church it's all about specifics isn't it god is he is really concerned about specifics so let's be specific in this season and ask our heavenly father what is he doing and how we can partner with him so let's pray father i thank you for this easter season father lord jesus i thank you for what you did

at the cross i thank you for for the pain that you endured in the suffering lord because you shed your blood for me and i'm so grateful and father we thank you for the resurrection power that brought christ from the dead and lord that we no longer are slaves to sin but we can cry out abba father to you as now sons and daughters of the most high we thank you for that lord father i pray that your holy spirit would move across our land in this easter season in jesus name amen thank you everybody i'm chris byberg the the director of the national house of prayer and we'll see you next time bye for now
