Hi everyone. It's Marilyn from the National House of Prayer. Today I want to talk to you about our prayer walk map. It was created by the National House of Prayer and has been used at the National Day of Prayer and at the National Prayer Breakfast. But you know, you don't need an organized event to use it. We encourage you to use it whenever you like. You can use this map on your phone while in Ottawa. Simply go to nhop.ca and click the drop-down menu. Then the resources menu, then prayer walk on Parliament Hill. Scroll down to the map. Then you'll notice numbers on the map. Clicking on a number brings up a box with with suggested prayer points and scriptures.
As you walk through the precinct, click the number that corresponds to your location and pray through the suggestions. You can also use the map to pray from home. Accessing it from your desktop just as you would on your phone. Clicking on a number will bring up the same box with suggested prayer points. You'll also see a list of points below the map. So you can choose which ones to pray. Since you won't be walking the precinct, feel free to simply pray as the Holy Spirit leads. The prayer points in each box are only suggestions. You don't have to use them. You might choose to pray them the first time, then pray differently on future visits. If you're praying for your own
part of Canada, you may find it more meaningful to personalize the prayers for where you live. Whatever you your approach is, the important thing is to pray. In 1 Timothy 2 verses 1 to 4, Paul urges that petitions, prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving be offered for everyone, including kings and those in authority, so that we may live peaceful, quiet lives marked by godliness and holiness. For this is good and pleases God our savior, who wants everyone to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. As we pray, may our hearts become like his, filled with the same passion for the lost, so that our hearts mandate becomes the advancement of the kingdom of God.
I'm Marilyn Byberg with the National House of Prayer. See you next time.
