hi everybody it's chris byberg the director of the national house of prayer coming to you from ottawa we just wanted to update you as to what we've been seeing at the freedom convoy protest down on parliament hill we went with the team last saturday a larger team about a dozen of us to go down and pray and to meet people and pray with people and encourage people and just be a blessing to people and that's why we were there we saw this event this time was even bigger than the last time last saturday last saturday was a mens this was gigantic we saw a lot of families we saw a lot of young people we saw a lot of grandmas and grandpas and just a mix of different cultures were down there

it was really really quite something very um very different from many from what many media outlets are reporting um it's very joyous and uh even like i said jumpy castles can you imagine those little jumpy castles are were down there for the kids to enjoy a very festive vibe down there we had a great opportunity prayed with many spoke with many was able to speak into many for me on my team uh spoken to many young men which is um speak life into and encourage them this is the thing is we we're we're in a society that doesn't include that where young people are not engaging and what we're seeing down there there's a lot of youthful engagement many are saying that this is a right

thing right wing protest or a far right wing protest that's my favorite one far right um but that's not there at all there are actually people there that i would call apolitical i doubt even if they voted at all or many left-leaning people but we were down there to pray for with all of them it doesn't matter what political stripe we're there to pray for all of them because god loves them and because god loves them we love them and that's why we're there so we need to be praying because hearts are soft and that's why we're down there we got a real sense of that there were soft hearts and that we could speak into that like i said before there's a real sense of peace and joy down there that

is indicative of the kingdom of god which is in in hebrews is righteousness peace and joy in the holy ghost so we feel that there is something in there not to say um i know i've seen certain things come across my desk where people are proclaiming a full-blown revival well that we're not there yet right now we have soft hearts and is preaching happening yes is there a lot of freedom in the air yes and we i really believe we should be down there and that's why i'm down there to pray to pray for the peace of our city to pray for our prime minister to pray for our mayor and our chief of police to pray that they would move in wisdom that's why we want to be down

there and to pray and minister to the people that are there those that are in the quote protesters and the trekkers we want to be a blessing to them we want to be good stewards we want to be christ ambassadors messengers of reconciliation that's who we are and that's why we're there so i wanted to encourage you and thank you for those of you who have been you know signing up for our prayer uh our prayer um uh sign-in sheets calendars that's great that you're doing that we are so thrilled that you're a part of that and that you've been there since day one i think we're at day 12 of this thing right now so thank you for those of you who've been faithful on that that is

awesome and we will send out another as they go but continue to pray for this city continue to pray for there are leaders and continue to pray for the prime minister god is doing something and he's doing something amazing and so lord so let's just pray father we thank you for what you're doing in this season lord we thank you that the all the eyes of the world are watching ottawa and lord we are thankful for our leaders lord your word says you set up kings and you oppose kings and so father for those leaders that you've given us out of first timothy 2 lord we will endeavor to pray for all our leaders that we would have righteous government that we would live in holiness and

godliness and most of all that all men and women would come to the knowledge of the truth and be saved so father thank you for this lord we say let your kingdom come and let your will be done here in ottawa and in our nation in jesus name amen thank you everybody my name is chris byberg the director of the national house of prayer we'll see you next time bye for now
