[Music] hi there it's chris and marilyn biber directors of the national house of prayer here in ottawa and we wanted to send this video out to say merry christmas when we think of christmas we think of god coming to earth lowering himself to live with us as one of us and then to die for us chris and i have a real fondness for the christmas season because it is the season of hope peace joy and love psalm 71 says for you have been my hope sovereign lord my confidence since my youth jesus is our home it's a season where we have license to proclaim peace isaiah 52 says how beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news who proclaim peace who bring good tidings who proclaim

salvation who say to zion your god reigns and then joy but now i come to you and these things i speak in the world so that they may have my joy made full of themselves that's from john 17. this is the same joy that that hebrews talks about by which he endured the cross then there's love which chris is going to talk about one of the major anchor scriptures for me in my prayer life comes out of first corinthians 13 7 where it says love bears all things believes all things hopes all things and endure all things i really like what it says in the passion it says love is a safe place of shelter for it never stops believing the best for others love never takes failure as defeat

for it never gives up so this past year that has been our anchor posture through the trials through the difficulties it's been a difficult year there were some things that came through the house of commons that weren't all that um thrilling c4 for example but we don't want to come under those things having this posture of love bearing all things believing all things this is my favorite part hopes all things it takes us from the place of being underneath of whatever life's circumstances are but because jesus god is love jesus is the prince of peace and in this holiday season in this christmas season we can walk boldly in love and we can pray from a posture that love is a safe place of shelter
