Who will define this nation politically over the next 4 years?
Prayer PointsVoter Turnout Pray that Canadians will not be affected by recent political exhaustion, and disappointments, but will come out and vote in great numbers. Ask God to stir Christians to allow their voices and values to be heard through voting. Polls and Surveys Pray that Canadians will not stop at these ‘polls’ and consider these results as the only source of information or guidance on how they should vote. Righteous Leaders Pray that our elected leaders would be people of righteous character, competent to lead with conviction that will not be swayed by the fear of man nor the lure of power. Pray that these individuals would stand for values that are foundational to a healthy society. Pray for Life Rather than certain political parties celebrating a woman’s right to end the life of an unborn child, pray that as Canadians we would come under a Spirit of repentance and that we would value all life in Canada. Pray that God would heal our land. Pray Against Any Corruption of our Voting System As people make their way to the polling stations, pray that last minute attempts to pressure or sway people will be kept at bay. Pray also that there would be no outside interference in how Canada votes either through social media, internet hacking, etc. Lord, help us to understand that as citizens we must engage to effect change. What an amazing privilege we have to partner with God on behalf of Canada; we choose; He appoints; and we must honour those in authority. ~ 1Peter 2:13
