God doesn't need a majority. He will use a remnant!

Our God is the only true God. He is the Creator of all things. He is the owner and Lord of Heaven and earth. Our God supplies life and breath to every living being. There is no lack in Him. There is nothing we mortals can supply for Him. He certainly does not need a majority.

“The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else.”

Acts 17:24-25

It’s true that God does not need a majority to accomplish His Will on the earth, He doesn’t even need the remnant. It is only by His grace that He empowers His chosen remnant.

They are given the capacity to know His sovereignty. Recognizing that His power and might are absolute and unlimited, the remnant are not influenced by what they see in the natural. Rather their perception remains steadfast as they lay hold of the truth of His greatness and power and glory and victory and majesty.

They have learned what it means to abide in Him. The remnant live in union with Jesus as their source. Consequently, they produce much fruit. His Word lives powerfully in them and their prayers are answered. The remnant continually live nourished and empowered by His love and they keep His commandments.

When we focus on our current political realm, we can become quite discouraged. Increasingly, we are unable to endorse the policies of our government or approve of many of their actions. As society becomes more antagonistic to Godly principles, it is still our obligation as Chrisians to support scriptural justice while still showing esteem and regard for our leaders.

This is when we must aim our attention to Jesus. When our focal point is with Him, we are able to see beyond the circumstances and situations we find ourselves in. We learn to trust Him when we continually gaze into His beauty and Holiness. We become like a tree planted by water. Even when heat and drought come, fear and anxiety will never overtake us and we never stop bearing fruit.

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.”

Jeremiah 17:7-8

The ones who have learned to live in His throne room putting their full trust in what He is doing and saying are the remnant. They know that the Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on them because the Lord has anointed them to proclaim good news to the poor. They know that they are sent to bind up the brokenhearted and to proclaim freedom for the captives.

We thank God for the remnant on Parliament Hill and in Canada who are aligning with the Father’s Will for His Kingdom to come to our nation as it is in Heaven. God is at work in the House of Commons and He is using His remnant to accomplish His Will and purpose.

  • Pray for Members of Parliament who belong to Him. Pray that they would not become discouraged. Pray that they would be given opportunities to bring His word boldly and courageously. Whether it’s in the House of Commons or in committee meetings or in conversations with fellow members, may His word run swiftly and be glorified in the hearts of all members of parliament.

  • Pray for churches in our nation that they would take their places on the wall, not just individually, but praying together in unity. Pray that prayer meetings held by local churches would explode with participation. As we pray for the heart of the nation to turn to him, pray that his heart will become one with our hearts so that we would truly be Jesus to the nation.
