A call to action has just come from the office of Cathay Wagantall, Member of Parliament for Yorkton-Melville. It is regarding Bill S-210, the Protecting Young Persons from Exposure to Pornography Act.
This bill was spearheaded by Senator Julie Miville-Dechêne. Its purpose is to safeguard children from the harmful effects of violent and degrading pornography by requiring companies to implement meaningful age verification measures on their websites.
Bill S-210 has already passed through the Senate. It must now pass through the House of Commons to become law. Sponsored by MP Karen Vecchio, debates in the House are soon to begin. Of course, the porn industry is not happy with the bill’s progress.
Please share the petition for S-210 with concerned individuals, groups, churches and organizations. The original pages with signatures must be mailed to Cathay Wagantall so she can present them in Parliament.
They should be mailed to (no postage required):
Cathay Wagantall, M.P.
Room 746 Confederation Building
House of Commons
Ottawa, ON K1A 0A6
We must continue to pray for righteous bills such as this one to not only be presented in the House of Commons, but we pray that they become law. In this case, we need also to act on those prayers by responding to this simple request. Please print the form and get those signatures. Then mail them directly to MP Wagantall’s office.
“The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right, and his ears are open to their prayers.”
1 Peter 3:12
“So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless…
…Can’t you see that faith without good deeds is useless?”
Jas. 2:17-20
