The National House of Prayer is looking for prayer teams of every age and every denomination from every region of Canada to come to Ottawa for a week at a time. At NHOP we look after every detail of your stay. We work with each team leader to tailor-make your visit with us in the nation's capital. We provide your meals, beds, and towels as well as the talents of our whole team to train, guide and lead you in the prayers and activities of the week.
You will meet your M.P., visit Question Period, tour the Parliament Buildings and join in on a regular prayer time at the Chapel on the Hill. Extra possibilities include visits to the Supreme Court, Governor General's residence, and national monuments and museums.
Give us a call to begin the process of organizing your team to come. We will guide you through the preparation and implementation of your prayer journey to Ottawa. Prayer group leaders and pastors are invited to contact us for more information.
We have also provided below a couple of information sheets in pdf. format that you can download and print.
The Visiting Christian School Ministry This is a ministry designed to give teachers and students of Christian Schools and Home Schools the opportunity to come to the nation’s capital and to experience the educational and spiritual opportunities of praying for the nation on and around Parliament Hill. The National House of Prayer would host the students either for a one day field trip, an overnight visit, or for the week. The visit would uniquely combine learning about government from God’s perspective coupled with the spiritual values and the practical experience of praying for the nation and its leaders. For more information on the Visiting Christian School Ministry, see the following PDF files:

NHOP Worship & Prayer Night
Start a local Prayer Group As you know it is not necessary to come to Ottawa in order to pray for the Canadian government. The National House of Prayer provides resources to help encourage Christians to prayer for our nation's political leaders. You may want to start a local prayer group to pray for government, or you are already part of a group that does just that. The National House of Prayer would like to help. Please contact us.
One of the major ways we resource prayer groups in Canada is by providing regular up-to-date insight and prayer information about issues on Parliament Hill. See the note below about how to subscribe to our NHOP newsletter.

Support NHOP financially ... The National House of Prayer is a registered Canadian, charitable society. We are not sponsored by a particular denomination or agency. The people who support us come from all walks of life, from every region of Canada and every type of denomination. Please know that any gift helps, but our greatest need is regular monthly partners. One great benefit of many people partnering with us is that it brings a national authority to this ministry. We are looking for 1200 more monthly partners within the next year. Individuals or churches who wish to support this ministry, may do so by mail or on-line. For more information, click here.
